The Greater Cincinnati Human Resources Association (GCHRA) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of the human resource management profession.
GCHRA is the local affiliate of the national Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the leading voice of the human resource management profession. GCHRA is one of Ohio's largest and most dynamic SHRM-affiliated chapters, having received several awards, including SHRM's Superior Merit Award for outstanding chapter achievement.
Established in 1935, the Association's membership now exceeds 700 individuals throughout the Greater Cincinnati area.

Welcome to the Greater Cincinnati Human Resource Association's (GCHRA) website!! Whether you are a visitor, a new member, or a long standing member we want this to be your first stop for all things GCHRA. We currently use a website layout provided by SHRM, so you can find not only relevant GCHRA data and resources, but it is also an easy connection to SHRM happenings and must have information.
GCHRA is a long established organization in Cincinnati, but does not shy away from continuous improvement and working towards a strategic goal. In fact, we have created our third consecutive strategic plan as a chapter and are working towards being an even better organization for our members. Please explore our vision and mission.
GCHRA’s Strategic Plan: 2014 - 2016
In order to determine the future direction of the organization, it is necessary to understand its current position and the possible avenues through which it can pursue particular courses of action. Therefore, GCHRA has again created a 3-year strategic plan to define the future direction and to make decisions on allocating our resources to pursue this strategy. Our strategic plan is outlined in the form of a balanced scorecard and creates a focus on the most important aspects of our chapter:
Throughout the year the GCHRA Board is working towards providing the best services and resources for you. This website is just another example of how we plan to be the #1 source for HR in the Greater Cincinnati area for HR and business professionals. As you go through the site you will find such resources as the HR Net, an information community where professionals exchange questions and answers; our Resources & Links page, which highlights a wide range of other HR resources on the Internet; and our Professional Development section, including information on opportunities such as Certification Study Groups and The HR Academy.

Did You Know?
The Employment Managers Club formed in 1935. The name changed to Cincinnati Personnel Association in September 1948. Then the name changed again to Greater Cincinnati Human Resources Association in September 1985.
